| Enter the world of DNA Scientists, Bioengineering and Cell Biology. In a lab setting students will learn how to penetrate a cell membrane and extract DNA from various fruits using centrifuge tubes and a water bath. Once the DNA is extracted, students view their samples through a microscope. A brief introduction into plant cell structure including discussion of chromosomes, organelles and nuclear material precedes the lab. A unique and challenging experience. |
