The Long Island Science Center's learning exhibits and educational programs teach through an interactive, exciting & fun learning environment for both children and families. We are a science resource for Long Island's families, teachers and students.  Our hands-on educational center with an emphasis on (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  The Science Center is located at 11 West Main Street in the historic downtown area of Riverhead.

We offer in-house programs, outreach programs, after school enrichment, library programs, scout programs, teacher training, family science, camp programs, science birthday parties and much more.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS & OUTREACH

The Long Island Science Center’s programs support N.Y.S. (New York State) educational standards and offer an innovative hands-on approach. Programs are available for Pre-K through High School and are age appropriate.

The Long Island Science Center will be delighted to help your organization book programs for your school. We are available to help promote your Science Fair. Our philosophy is fun while learning.

All programs are appropriate for your site and can be adapted to your needs.

GIRL SCOUTS

Programs available for Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes. Our programs fulfill all requirements for badges and achievements.

BOY SCOUTS

Programs available for Tiger, Bear, Wolf, and Webelos Scouts. Our programs fulfill all requirements for badges and achievements.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Programs can be adapted for all levels and special requirements. Museum is handicapped accessible.
